x-box live problem plz help (360)

just moved and am now i do not have the modem in my room,but insted am connected to the internet wirelessly,will i have to buy the wirless router for 100$'s or can i just plug in the device that is currently in my comp,directly into the 360,its threw a usb plug-in? just wanting to know if i have to get the wireless router thx.

Not sure if I understand you completely. You have a wireless router, and wireless laptop/computer? If thats the case, you'll need the $99 Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter that plugs into your 360.

theres a modem upstair and i am connected threw a wirless usb adaptor,which is i guess a router in itself,that allows me to be connected to the internet,i was wondering if maybe i could plug that in to the 360 and if that would allow the 360 to connected with the modem upstairs.

If it's an ethernet cord, then you should be able to. Give it a shot and see.

I am in the exact same situation. I going to try it out to see if I can get the USB adapter to work with the 360.

Didn't work for me. Didn't recognize that the USB adapter was plugged in. I'm pretty sure none will work because Microsoft will want you to buy their $100 one. If any USB adapter worked, Microsoft couldn't sell theirs for that much.
