I have an intercooler and it was keeping my system slightly cooler, which was very noticeable when it was upstairs during the heat last week with the a/c broken. But on about the third day of the heat I got fed up with sweating like a pig and took my 360 down to the basement where it was infinitely cooler. The 360 cosequently has been running infinitely cooler as well. I think more than anything, if you have a nice coolenvironment that will make the biggest difference for your 360 in terms of running temperature.
So, is the 360 worth it?

I think the Intercooler is most useful in environments where you know your XBox is not going to get a good circulation of air. I have the intercooler but my XBox is on top of my computer desk, very well ventilated.Comment

Originally posted by candyman56I like the intercooler, but it's too loud which really aggravates me. Mine is in the basement which is cool and well ventilated so I was thinking of taking it off, I just can't stand how loud it is anymore which was one of my drawbacks even though I still love the product.
My 360 is also in a very cool basement and after playing for hours the system remains relatively cool. I don't see the need for an intercooler.Comment

Personally, I didn't notice the intercooler to be all that much louder than the 360's normal running decibal level. I might still be getting over the shock of just how loud the thing is in general though.Comment
