I got the rapid charge kit and is awesome. Don't have to have the 360 on to charge my batteries.

you dont need to have the plug and play plugged into your 360. just use your pc, it charges faster on the pc anyways, well IMO lol

both charge kits work great, glad we have 2 options

With the play and charge, you don't have to have the 360 on either.

You can shut it off and it will still charge the controller when connected. I guess technically it's in a standby mode. It's not on, but it's not off either. It's in some low power mode (standby mode)

You can play a game and then just shut off the system with the controller. The power brick will stay on and buzz like it was normally charging the battery pack while the system is off. Then when the battery pack is at the expected capacity, the system will automatically shut off. I heard they were trying to add some option for the wireless controller to be usable with the PC. They said the P&C kit didn't have any option in it to make it usable. Any word on that yet?? I think I might scoop up another P&C Kit this week after I get paid.

yes.

When it is still charging you can hear the fan running. When it's done chargining the fan stops.
