I would definitely love to find the answer out about that. I was wondering if they'd still have Japanese developers making games for them. What did they do eventually with the original Hulk? I can only wonder.......

They will just keep rolling along.

The 360 is already a failure in Japan, and there is no games coming that will change this.

are you kidding me, yeah Japan is big in the video game market, but the 360 will never fail because of Japan. The 360 is all about the USA, and if it sells in Japan thats just a bonus, MS is built to sell in the US, wich it does extreamly well...So put this to bed.

And Microsofts answer is also "everywhere but Japan", although they are not publicly saying that.

That's the reason why MS is interested in opening up new terrorities for the 360 like India, China, Africa and the former Soviet Union. MS intends to win and just by the sheer volume of sales worldwide it will force developers everywhere to have no choice but to develop games for it's system.

GTA4 and Smackdown vs Raw coming to the 360 when the games launch is proof MS is no longer being ignored.

No matter what I think we'll see a system from Microsoft beyond the 360. If the 360 fails to make a profit, like the original Xbox did, then its possible whatever comes after it we'll have to change that in order for Microsoft to continue.

I think Microsoft has a better chance of profiting from the XBOX 360 than Sony profiting from the PS3. It is possible we may see a crash in the video game industry because of the high cost of making games. If the publishers cannot sell enough games to make up for the increased costs, there will be fewer games and this could lead to a crash. The industry is over due for a crash since the last one happened so long ago in the 1980's.

If you really want to make good money in the console market, you will have to either convince the Japanese market to buy the 360 or dominate the other markets like the US. Japan isn't just gravy unless you dominate in the US and/or Europe. Maybe they need to slash the price of the 360 in Japan just to gain market share. The Japanese generally believe in market share over profit since they think long-term moreso than North American companies.

I agree. Though I still think Sony has a better shot of making a profit because of their market share going into this generation, but I do fear a crash. The cost of gaming has skyrocketed with the release of the 360, and its only going to climb when the PS3 gets released (especially if games retail for higher than $60). I know for me, that the cost of both of these systems does not outweigh the benefit, maybe they will when more games come out but right now if I get a new console it will be the much cheaper Wii. I feel I'm still in the minority though so I think a crash is more likely to come in 2010 or 2011.

I agree with you except I don't want a Wii. Most consoles don't take off until the price of the console drops to about $199 US. Until the prices come down, the hard care fans with money will buy the initial shipments but the general masses will hold off until its affordable.
