Technically they probably could update many things through XBL and keep many things "fresh", but that doesn't make money.
I say 6-7 years. X360, PS3 should be able to do photorealism on HDTV's. I don't see what the ugency would be in getting new hardware out. As far as graphics on a 2D screen thee 360 is almost the end of the line. There really isn't anywhere to go from there.Memory Cards are the devil!Comment

Although it depends how long it takes to pull a profit off of the machine, if they can. MS never did with the xbox.
