please help

ok i got my xbox 360 yesterday and all of a sudden i while i was playing it today it froze. then when i wanted to play baseball it starts to start up and the screen turns black. is it my game, my system, is it overheating. any help would be appreciated

Do you have Xbox Live? If it's MLB2K6, and you don't have Live, you don't have the patch, and it froze on many, many systems.

yes i do have xbox live and it is mlb2k6. unfortunately i don't have any other games right now. would i be able to try a movie or do i need that certain controller

yes i did and i was able to play a game online last night as well
