I'm wondering the same thing... so far, I haven't seen anything in my inventory, or anything in the clothing department stores, so I don't know.

Man I am loving this game! I was doing a level 8 snatch last night, and those are pretty intense since you have level 4 on gang side bar. By the time I arrived at the third location to pick up the ho's, it turned into a three way shoot out between me and my guys, the Vice Kings, and the cops. Man that was some intense stuff. On the way back to the drop off point, there was one car shooting at us and caught up to my side and my dude came through the window with a shotgun and shot the driver and their car crashed right into tree and started burning. Arrived at the drop off point with my engine smoking and two blown tires.

I think the clothing bonus increases the respect you earn from missions. When you buy clothes, they show a number (usually higher if you buy purple) that shows the increase % in respect.

Exactly.

You'll notice, when you are purchasing clothing, there will be a bar underneath the color and style that will say "+43" or "+15", etc. That means that that particular style of clothing gives you that amount of bonus when doing a mission.

I'm in the same boat, I haven't picked it up yet, I've been fighting it off. Downloading the demo today played it liked it, just wans't blown away.I know I will would buy it, play it a week and just sell it. I don't think I will buy it, NHL07 is right around the corner and NBA2k7 right behind that..I need my money for this two.

I played the demo, but was so so about it as well. It was fun, but I wasn't to sure about the final game. After reading the boards here and seeing all the footage that gamespot.com had i went and bought the game a couple days ago.
It's all I've played for about 4hrs today. The game starts off the same as the demo, but you get a lot of extra things, like a temporary crib... it just feels a little more rewarding now. A LOT MORE cars to pick from to jack going down the road. It's pretty impressive. The day an night cycles are really cool, since the lighting in Saints Row is like most 360 games, awesome.

I know what you mean with NHL and NBA 2k coming out, but if you feel like trading something in or spending some more chedder, getting saints row will make you feel betta. Hizzle.

Ok, for anyone who has done the chop shop activities in China Town, how and where did you find the fire truck? It says in the arena district but I have driven all over that area and have yet to find a single one. I thought about trying to set something on fire to bait them into coming to me but everything I set on fire goes out before anyone can show up so that doesnt seem like an option. Any help would be appreciated.

I found the firetruck at the airport. It's kind of between a couple of small buildings. It should pop up on your HUD if you have it selected.

Yeah, I was mistaken when I typed arena district, it is supposed to be in the airport district and thats where Ive been looking and havent been able to find it, I have it selected and have cruised around the airport, down the runway, in between buildings etc and still havent seen it, hopefully I will get lucky soon since its getting old looking for this once car.

Yeah, you guys were right about this game. It reminds me of the GTA3, but the scenery is a whole lot better. Question, can you ride the subway trains? I really like this game.

I just got Madden the other day. Between Madden and mostly The Show on PSP it keeping me busy until NBA2K7 drops later this month. I usually don't buy that many non sports games, but you guys are really making me think twice about this. I played the demo and it was okay, but it seems like the full version is really good. I might try to rent it when it's in then decide..

yeah, worth a purchase or at least the rent....i know the feeling, too many good games out/coming out, can't get them all

You definately have to at least rent the game if you have any interest in this genre of games. This game gets it right unlike other games that tried to copy the GTA formula. Rent or buy, you'll have fun playing the game.

I rented it and have enjoyed it and I'm not a big GTA style gamer.
