I wonder if the Main Character is going to talk... Unlike in the Demo... If not I will not be buying this one...

Re: Saints row discussion
How do you know? If that is true, that's just really bad. How can the main character of the game go through a story line like this and just stand there, nod his head and blink? I'm enjoying the demo but the more the game comes out to launch day, the more bad things I'm hearing. This just adds to the list. Slowly it's turning into a rental from GF, instead a buy.Comment

I think with the higher level of random interaction, it would have been tough to do voices for a customizable character. Remember...the characters in the GTA's rarely talked in-game. It's not like they responded to every NPC or had tons of banter...it was mostly resticted to cutscenes, and it has to be alot easier with only one central character design. With customizable characters, they would have had to do thousands of lines of dialog in at least 5 or 6 different voices, and people still would have complained if say the voice for the black characters was too "proper", or too young, or used east-coast slang, or had a durty-souf accent. I hated the voice samples in Def Jam, and had to go with a high-pitched nasal wanna-be NY cat voice for my 300 lb beast of a character. That sucked.
I'd love some voice, because CJ's voicework was really good in San Andreas, and really helped the immersion...but I didn't miss it in Oblivion, and I can prolly deal without it now.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

They mentioned that it was strange to have a main character that never speaks in the game in the GI review (or maybe it was OXM).

Re: Saints row discussion
Another place in New Jersey which is supposed to sell it early is Cash for Games of Newark. It is located at 853 Broad Street (973)-643-0998. They said they would have it Monday. I'd call and check on Monday before going, just in case but they did have Madden in early so there's a good chance you can pick it up early there.Comment

Re: Saints row discussion
For those poor college students and people like me who like to save money, according to the weekly ebgames email newsletter, if you trade in 2 xbox 360 games, you can get saints row for $9.99. Hell of a deal if you ask me...if you've got 2 games to trade in.PS4: aBayBates

Gamespot will be having a live gameplay marathon this Saturday.
I will definitely watch a little of this. Should be entertaining with Greg Kasavin playing, and plus he did a really good job with the Oblivion marathon.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
