I highly doubt it'll turn out like that. Not having FIFA, NCAA, Live, Madden, and numerous others would be a killer. Microsoft wouldn't allow somethin like that. Especially with all the money they got.Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910

Well if the ps3 wins the install base then they wont care about the ps3 being hard to develop for.But then they already have code for the 360 so why stop with there games now.Originally posted by gohIt's the PS3 that'll get screwed. All stories I've read said that it's very difficult to develop for and the plan was to develop the game on the 360 then port it to the PS3.Last edited by kondo; 06-15-2006, 06:36 PM.DALLAS COWBOYS 4 LIFE.#22Comment

The PS3 may win the install base but not by much at $600.00. We may see a video game crash next generation. Sony is probably on their way out and this will hurt 3rd party developers. I think in the future the video game console players will be Microsoft, Nintendo, and maybe Apple or Intel. Sony is making many mistakes and they could go bankrupt and end up like Atari.Comment

AS a Big Company the true Question would be...
Who has the bigger install base after a year?
Who is it cheaper and faster to develop for?
it's about keeping costs down and making a big profit.
All these developers will have to debate this.... some may be Pro Sony, while others may be Pro Microsoft.
EA has enough resources that they will keep making games on all the systems. As long as they have their cash cows that keep being cash cows, like Madden and Medal of Honor, they'll recoup their costs for development.
It's smaller companies that will have to make the tougher choices.
I think Nintendo will see more 3rd party support this time around.
I also think they are the dark horse of this generation. They could slide to first mainly on price alone, not to mention that innovation could really help this time out. Look at the DS Lite... 2 days, 135,000 units moved.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment
