Re: were is allard?
He's with MS, but not with XBox, he got promoted. -
Re: were is allard?
I thought Allard was still with the Xbox division? At least his bio on MS's site still shows that (although they might not have updated it).
None of the higher-ups moving to another division means much of anything. It won't change the direction or view that MS has for that division. Sometimes higher-ups move to another division because they get "burnt out" and want to try something different.
Looks like Peter Moore is a Corporate VP for the Xbox division.
It's like Gates leaving. He's become a figure head more or less the past few years. He really didn't have as much to do with the day to day runnings of MS as he used to.Comment

Re: were is allard?
bates is right, Him and a different team are solely working on the handheld.

But since this came out, maybe he is working on the ipod killer?
Gates has no input on the 360 really, he is just there in meetings to see how things go...And to shell out alot of money.Comment

Put it this way, Gates has 160 executives running different divisions. They range from President's to Corporate VP's to Senior VP's.
J Allard, Corporate VP and Chief XNA Architect:

Peter Moore, Corporate VP, Interactive Entertainment Business

Robert Bach, President, Entertainment Division (this guy appears to be running the handheld division - among all entertainment).

Originally posted by joebooGates really had nothing to do with the 360. Remember, MS is a HUGE company. Gates can't hold everyone's hand and be involved in everything. He was just a figure head and had little to nothing to do with day to day operations of each division.

Re: were is allard?
I'm willing to bet that MS moves the top guys like J Allard around to new, more cutting edge projects. While I'm sure he'll have some input on 360 things, there really isn't the need for the bright mind in that area as much as a new handheld, or the ipod killer would need.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
