There are still games being released sporadically for the DC for Japan in 2005 and 2006.

The lens (I guess it was) stopped reading discs, so I opened it up, tinkered around in there without knowing what the hell I was doing, and then I closed it up, started a game, and it actually read the discs.

This was a few months ago.

loved the system. First time I ever went online for console gaming. Loved NFL2k, NBA2k, Quake, and a game that you played with toys..something like Toy Commander. You used kids toys to accomplish missions, like bombing runs, submarine depth charges, kill toy soldiers, really varied and was a blast as I recall.

The vga adapter was awesome! Pity some games didn't work with it though.

Should also pickup Power Stone, Marvel vs. Capcom, Air Force Delta. All very good games. If you're really into 2-D fighters, Jo-Jos Bizarre Adventure is very obscure 2-D fighting game that's a lot of fun.

Go for it! The Dreamcast was the greatest system ever made. Online gaming, four controller ports, analog triggers, VMU, very solid construction, GREAT, quirky gaming library.

                      Just a KILLER system.

                      Take care,

If I had the time to play another system, I'd pick up a dreamcast with a bunch of games.

all games work with it if you follow the trick of waiting to the beep to plug the vga adapter in. i have one still and hooked it up in the office to take a break for a few minutes to play tony hawk and a few others during the down time.

the vga adapter is the best. i bought two over time and they are worth their weight in gold.

Virtua tennis rocks still. i am right now 25th ranked in the world and cannot beat people from the away viewpoint.

if you havent played in a while those games sometimes require re-learning and so they are fresh all over again.

The DC was one of the greatest systems ever released to man. Maybe one day SEGA will get back into the console business with the release of the DREAMCAST 2.

there's very little point in getting a DC now. 97% of the quality titles have been transfered to the PS2/Xbox/GC. SC and JGR are a bit superior then there Xbox sequels, and powerstone collection isn't out for PSP yet, but other than that...(well that music game that will cost a bundle on ebay)
