My first lasted Nov-March (first week) and that one March(last week) - May(first week) so I'd say not very long.

I just thought that with the way they run so hot that it would burn out faster.

I got one on launch day. This past Wednesday, it has started having freezing spells. I haven't received the 3 red lights, yet, but I fear it's starting to break down. Right in time for NCAA.

Mine is done. It won't load GRAW, anymore. Should have bought the damn in-store warranty. Lesson learned.

I have had my 360 since launch with no problems. Is it possibly to purchase a warranty right now if my 360 is still healthy?

Mine lasted from January to June. But it never got too hot (always gave it good ventilation). I think the lifespan mostly differ. Some people still have their launch units working perfectly while others had their 360 die after a few weeks.

These units should be built to last 5-6yrs. not 6 months.
