    pc gaming

Will pc gaming ever be as popular as console gaming . And do you think when they make the same game for the pc and the 360 it will hurt one or the other in sales?

No because if you don't spend like $4000 **** don't work right. So no one will spend $4000 when they can spend $400 for something that looks the same or better in some cases and ussally has better controls, even if you add in HDTV it's still $4000-$1400.

      lol
I spent less than 1200.00(not including monitor) on March 2004 and I can run things fine.
      P4 3.0 , 1gig ram, radeon pro 9800
2 80 gig HD's., motherboard, DVD Burner and new case. (Newegg.com)
Getting ready to add another gig of ram.

The right answer is there are so many variations of PC's that the games have to be constantly patched , tweaked to keep them running right.
Most want a simple "put disk in and play away" experience rather than the PC experience.

I spend maybe $500 every two years switching out various parts in my PC. It can't always run games at max details, but always at least high detail.

I don't think consoles are far ahead of PCs when it comes to the gaming market. I would say they're pretty even. It just looks bad since PC gaming used to dominate over consoles.

I was happy with just a PC for all of the 90's. Now, decent games are so far and few between I have to have an up to date PC and all of the console systems. I still find myself with nothing interesting to play sometimes.

Ditto. I spent $500 on my system and maybe will spend $200 during two years before I upgrade it.

Yea, there aren't many quality titles out there on the PC besides your normal MMORPG expansion pack or new FPS. If they had a better selection of games, things would pick up. As of now, I've been picking up older games.

F.E.A.R. is one I would recommend if you haven't played it.

I want to check that out to but since it's dropping on the 360, I'll wait for it. I just not picked up Half Life 2 for the XBOX last week. What a great game. I'm currently knee deep in Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights for the PC. And I still play Syberia from time to time and haven't even started Freelancer, Gothic 2 or Arx Fatalis yet along with a few other games. I just need to get myself a good RTS and I'll be set. I'm leaning towards Star Wars Battlegrounds but Rome:Total War looks good as well.

Neverwinter Nights II is looking very promising as well.
