I am having a problem with my original released PS2 reading certain discs, but it will read the latest Grand Turismo game and some others. It will not read EAsports NCAA Football game discs. I take very good care of my discs and they do not have scratches on the bottom. I have played these games in the past on my unit with no problem. Sometimes on occassion, the PS2 will read the disc and the game will load until it gets to the Playstation screen and then the screen goes black and will not progress further to advance to the game.
I need to know how to go about clean and adjusting the eye so that it will read these discs. I have taken my PS2 apart before and cleaned it, but have never really adjusted anything inside. Does anyone know how to clean and adjust one so that the PS2 will read these games? Thanks.
