I'd say narrow it to $240 and just go for one basketball game.

Yeah, its gonna get ugly. i had this conversation with dave360 just the other day. I'm really looking forward to FIFA 07. With the jump they made from rtwc to the wc edition, things are looking very good for that franchise.

For me Gears of War, NBA 2K7, Smackdown vs. Raw, Madden 07, and FIFA 07 are defenites. Tiger, NHL 2K7 are maybes, if I can afford them.

You see, here's what I learned... I normally will get a game or two for Christmas, one for my birthday, and one out of my own pocket. This year, I went "all out", because I normally don't buy so many games. But this time, I got:

- MVP 06 NCAA Baseball
- MLB '06: The Show
- MLB 2K6
- Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
- SSX: On Tour
- Guitar Hero


And it's not even Christmas yet (last Christmas, I got NBA 2K6 and GTA: San Andreas, and NHL 2K6 and SOCOM III a few weeks before those two). I found out that I had already lost time for my 2005 purchases, for MVP, and I've just been playing out The Show and On Tour at the moment. I want to go back to SOCOM so badly, but I won't have time for the others anymore then. I have only played about two hours worth of LCS, and Guitar Hero is only getting its playing time with people over at my house (just need to finish Expert to beat it all). I played MLB 2K6 for the first time in about a week, also. I used to be WAY ahead of the Giants' actual schedule on my game, but now I'm behind it. And I haven't touched NHL 2K6, NBA 2K6, and MVP since I got The Show, but I want to SO badly!




My point is... I'm at a loss of time for all of these games. I don't want to just play them in bunches, but that's just how I've rolled as of late. Not to mention I'm supposedly not "allowed" to bring my gaming systems to SDSU (damn parents). So, these games will all be collecting dust, except SSX Tricky (yes, Tricky) and maybe Guitar Hero, which my little sister plays. So, I'm thinking that I blew out a lot of money. Perhaps I shouldn't have bought MVP or GTA: LCS, but I wanted them so badly for the time!


You see, back when I'd get a baseball and football game, and whatever pretty cool new game came out (whether it was GTA, SOCOM, or whatever). I would get through maybe three full years of my baseball franchise (playing every game), and 5 - 6 years of my football franchise (playing every game), and consuming well over 80 hours in either SOCOM online or GTA, before the next year of games came out. Now, I can't do that!




Can somebody tell me, honestly, what kind of 'hourage' you intend to get with these games before you're suckered into buying some of these games next year? Because, honestly, I'd hold out until 2007 for SOME of the sports titles, and buy some of them this year.

Those months are going to be so good I'll probably end up buying games for both my 360 and my PS2...Thats ridiculous.
