Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, or F.E.A.R?...

There all coming out very close to one another in the Fall. Which one is the one to get? Obviously GOW has gotten a lot of attention lately, and rightfully so. But COD3 is looking fantastic as well. I never played FEAR on the PC but I know it has recieved a lot of praise and the 360 version is supposed to have new content. With the 60 dollar price tags, there is no way I'll get all three(even though I'd like to). What are your thoughts?

I love FEAR on the PC, but I (obviously) haven't played GOW yet so I might like that better. I would wait to see what people say about GOW.

Well, if I had to choose, it would be without question Gears.

I'm still in a wait and see mode with COD3. The fact that Treyarch is developing it, after playing the past COD games that studio developed, I just can't get excited for it. I also got a feeling the game is being thrown together quickly, in an attempt to capitilize on the success COD2 is having on the 360.

F.E.A.R. should be a good game with the new content being added, but I wouldn't choose it over Gears.

I hear ya Flawless. GOW is where I see myself leaning as well. It's gonna be the first one released of the big three so that makes the choice easier. I'm still very interested in COD3 though.

I'm probably going to get GOW and COD3, I'll prolly check out F.E.A.R. on PC to see if I like it or not.

I can't wait to play Gears of War. I have been itching for a game like this in a war torn world against an alien invasion.

I haven't seen anything on CoD3. I got bored with CoD2 about halfway through and WWII games are played out for me.

FEAR was probably my favorite non-NCAA game released in a while, probably since MGS3. It is fun as Hell, and scared my pants off.

GoW just looks straight dominating.

COD...yea another WW2 game,people aren't sick of these yet?
F.E.A.R won't be taking advantage of the next genness of the 360 as much since it's a port.

Keep in mind, FEAR came out on the PC, the most "next genness" of all. It has (maybe Oblivion on max eclipsed it barely) the best graphics ever in a video game. I only play exclusive FPS' on consoles, so I don't know how good the controls will be, but it was hot fire on the PC.

Most likely getting all 3. Definitely GOW but I have to see how different COD3 is going to be from previous installments...you can only do so much in certain genres IMO. F.E.A.R. looks awesome but I'd like to play a demo first. I'll probably be the late comer with all these games since I'll be in Balad by mid-September.

I'm looking more forward to CoD 4 than CoD3, according to last months OXM, 4 is taking place in a modern setting.

I thought FEAR was moved to 2007?

Gears of War but not by much of COD3. As much as I played COD2 off and online, that game is going to be huge for me.
