Re: Devil May Cry 4 to 360?
Also, for those still expecting Metal Gear Solid 4 to be ported to the 360..let's refresh our memory about Hideo Kojima's comments about MGS4's size in relation to blu-ray capacity (of the time):

So, even if it is ported over, say hello to a multi-disc game (which annoyed everyone who owned a GC, PSX, Saturn, etc., but not in this case, oddly enough) or some big sacrifices to compress it to one DVD.D E S E R V E_V I C T O R YR.I.P. Sean Taylor (1983-2007), a True CaneComment

MGS4's placement in the Holiday is to increase the user base.

Re: Devil May Cry 4 to 360?
minus the obvoius I spose: I don't forsee HALO ever going anywhere but the XBOX line, and PC's. But yes, I think for 3rd party games, it's going to die off in the relative near future.
And what the hell is wrong with multi-disc games. Are we THAT lazy that we can't get up to swap it out (says the man with a 5 disc DVD playerlololol ) but I digress..... I had no issue in FFVII swapping the 4 discs out...hell, it was a marker of sorts when you were talking to friends.. "Yeah, I'm on disc 3..." and if you plan the game out right, you can make the swaps at very very appropriate and opportune moments in the story. hell, I got a wireless controller on the 360 and still sit 5 feet from the TV......lol
anywho ..... that's my 37 cents.......You do what you want in your association, don't let others ruin the fun. Just because other people say it's cheap doesn't mean you have to let it affect your association, just have fun - Evan_OSComment

Re: Devil May Cry 4 to 360?
I read about that, too, but that's a launch title. I'd like to think Konami (no disrespect to Ted Price and Insomniac) working on a second-generation AAA game wouldn't be wasting space on an abundance of "filler".D E S E R V E_V I C T O R YR.I.P. Sean Taylor (1983-2007), a True CaneComment

Re: Devil May Cry 4 to 360?
Sony is bleeding exclusives and MGS is a near lock if Konami likes money.
Personally, single-disk gaming am not worth 700 dollars....and for me, thats the bottom line right now. If Snake comes over to the 360 I can deal with 5-6 disks...although it would kinda' suck.Last edited by HMcCoy; 03-20-2007, 07:35 PM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: Devil May Cry 4 to 360?
If anything, Sony is bleeding third-party exclusives.
They still have a decent amount of first and second-party franchises sewed up. Since somebody may ask what franchises, I'll randomly run some off: God of War, Gran Turismo, Killzone, SOCOM, Jak (& Daxter), The Getaway, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance, MLB The Show, Warhawk, Twisted Metal (always a possibility, even with the development teams dividing unto themselves about four times), etc.D E S E R V E_V I C T O R YR.I.P. Re: Devil May Cry 4 to 360?
The Resistance "filler-gate" was blown way of out proportion, the filler was actually only 420Mb per region. Joystiq quickly published a followup article correcting themselves.

How many more exclusives can Sony afford to lose? If MGS or FF go down it would really change the way the race plays out.DON'T PANICComment

I'm going to hate not being able to play God o War, but most of those titles have equal or in some cases superior exclusive 1st and 3rd party replacements on the 360 (Ninja Gaiden 2/GOW, Forza/ Gran Turismo, Halo/Killzone, GOW/Resistance, Crackdown/Getaway, Hevanly Sword/Too Human...etc.), not to mention Space Oblivion, Fable 2, C&C, Alan wake...the list goes on. There just isn't 700 dollars worth of "over and above the comp" gaming to be found on the PS3 yet, and it seems that Sony can't afford that. With the slow HW sales, I'd say they need to keep as many reasons as possible to entice people to comfortably spend that kind of money, and they are bleeding those reasons. Re: Devil May Cry 4 to 360?
I agree, Sony has a few really good titles for the fortunate chaps with disposable income, but none of those are 700 dollar system sellers for an average Joe like meself, especially when the dang thing doesn't even do HD on my TV (yet?).
