I haven't ruled it out, especially if there's a price drop. But so far there's absolutely nothing on that system that is a system seller. It's $500 for a graphics and Live upgrade with reheated sequels and long-running franchises for games. I want more than that for 500 bones.
Maybe GTR 2 and Colin McRae Dirt will change my mind next year, but right now the 360 is not on my wish list due to the limited return for the exorbitant price. All the games I really love right now -- Rugby 06, Colin McRae 2005, NFL 2K5, TOCA 3, NASCAR 2005, Mercenaries -- aren't on the 360 or backward compatible. Only Winning Eleven 9 is BC among my Xbox favorites.
I've played it, and I'm not impressed -- for the money. I know people like the multimedia features, but I want a gaming machine, not a multimedia Swiss Army knife in my entertainment center.
Take care,

Re: Do You Want To Buy A PS3 NOW?
I will most likely pass on PS3. The 360 was a huge investment for me and I simply don't want to pay that kind of cash again for another game console. But that's just me.How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.Comment

1) No Rumble in the controller (Huge Issue for Me)
2) The PS3 is not going to give me anything I don't already see or have on the 360.
3) Exclusive games are way down this time, thank goodness. 90-95% of the games will probably show up on both machines.Comment

Rodster:
Forgot to mention that the new system that's turning me on right now is the Wii.
Between the innovative controller and some of the funky titles, that system just looks like pure FUN. Reminds me a lot of the Dreamcast, still the most innovative, entertaining and fun console I've ever owned, by far.
With all of the sequelitis and me-too lack of risk with PS2 and Xbox/360 titles these days, innovative fun is something often lacking in this hobby for me. That's why the Wii has me jazzed. The thing just looks fun as hell.
Take care,

Exclusive games is really the only thing that seperates the two IMO. Both have HD, both can play DVDs, both are online, etc. It's a copy cat league nowadays when it comes to technology. PS3 has Metal Gear and 360 has Halo. With so many games going multiplatform the line is becoming even thinner. How I wish, how I wish you were here. I didn't want a ps3 before and I don't want it now.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Games/Access that were innovative, SEGA Bass Fishing, Seaman, VMU, Samba Di Amigo, and plenty more.
One reason why I think I have enjoyed the XBOX and 360 is because MS continued where SEGA left off with the DC.Comment
