That's pretty tight. Bringing the game to the "real world" to get the hype for it. Definitely will be keeping an eye out for what ever happens next.

I want this game so bad that I can taste it. I'm a big fan of Human vs. Alien Invasion games and movies. I'm hoping that "Emergence Day" is in September and not October.

That's why games like Gears, Lost Planet, and Resistance are intriguing to me. Being able to kick some alien @ss.

Yeah, Lost Planet is awesome and I can't wait for it to release.

It reminds me of Starship Troopers in the snow.

I think between Lost Planet and Gears of War, the 360 will have 2 Grandslams. I hope that Planet sells well so than Capcom develops more games for the 360.

Yea Lost Planet is great. I probably play it atleast once a week.

And I can't wait for Gears Of War, hopefully it has a great online multi player cause thats where I'll spend most of my time.

I'm starting to really enjoy the over the back 3rd person shooters more and more as time passes. Capcom did a great job with Resident Evil 4 camera for the 3rd person over the back view.

I think that this is a terrible move if it's true. The PS3 will sell no matter what releases up against it and Microsoft is sending gears on a suicide mission against the ps3 is not a brilliant idea.

Gears should be released the week before the release of the PS3. One week before the PS3 release may sway a few potential buyers to get a 360 + Gears, but the PS3 will steam roll through any piece of software thrown at it. It may sway a few, but people that are dead set on getting the PS3 it won't get them to jump the fence. SONY could always use RESISTANCE as a game to battle back, which is a similar concept about Aliens but in an alternative World War II setting.

I just don't want to see a game that has been hyped up and looks so good to be stomped on due to a stupid MS vs. SONY war. I would hate having to wait at a gaming store to buy Gears due to the madness with the PS3 release.

I would hate having to wait till November for this game.

nah but seriously... i think GoW will sell out as well as PS3's... i don't see games and consoles releasing on the same day swaying what a person will buy on that morning (or night)... I don't think Halo 3 dropping on november 17th (llike it was rumored before) would have put a dent in the PS3's sales either and vice versa...

As of Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006, Epic Games has announced that Gears of War will be coming out August 29. Although, this information has not yet been released to the publice. Epic Games tells us that they will be publicly announcing this release date on August 4th.

I'm taking this with a grain of salt, but Epic Games is supposed to be sending out a Press Release this Thursday.
