Ubisoft bringing Import Tuner Challenge to the 360

Another Xbox360 exclusive, Ubisoft is bringing Import Tuner Challenge a.k.a. Toyko Xtreme Racer and it will be XBL Ready.

July 31, 2006 - Ubisoft remains consistent with its desire to bring Japanese games to the Xbox 360 first: Following Over-G Fighters and the upcoming Japanese RPG, Enchanted Arms, the French publisher is set to bring the Genki-developed Import Tuner Challenge to North America and Europe this fall exclusively on Xbox 360.

Offering X360 owners street racing from Tokyo, Japan, and customizable licensed sports and concept cars using authentic tuner parts, Ubisoft's offline/online racer provides more than 5 million possible customization possibilities. Import Tuner Challenge, also known as Tokyo Xtreme Racer or Shutoku Battle in Japan, gives custom racing fans specialized parts ranging from aero kits from Mazdaspeed, C-West and Veilside to racing seats from Recaro and Bride with detailed menus, unlockable parts and more.

"Import Tuner Challenge brings unprecedented car customization and speed to the racing genre," said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. "The game offers more tuning possibilities than any other street racing game to date on the Xbox 360 and will submerge players into Tokyo's thrilling underground."

p.s. Hey guys move this over to the Racing forum...sorry for the brain fart.

I don't understand why they're changing the name. All the others kept the Tokyo Xtreme name. Import Tuner Challenge sounds pretty lame.
