You won't get a 360 because it will not play those games? Umm, if you don't have one already, buy a regular Xbox then, it will play them all.

I would hope you are buying a next-gen system to play next-gen games.

But most next-gen games are dissapointing, thus far.

The PS2/XBOX generation was the greatest video game generation we've seen, and the PS3/360 generation has thus far been one of the worst (of course we have a long ways to go). Why not hedge my bets and buy a next-gen console that also plays some of the greatest games from the greatest console generation?

I would have already bought a PS3, if not for the price tag (it plays NFL 2K5 BC). Once I am able to buy it, I will get it, if 360 is not BC with 2K5. If NFL 2K5 was BC with 360, I would already own it.

Not true. There are many excellent next-gen games. Both Call of Duty games are very good. Splinter Cellouble Agent is very good, Rainbow Six is good, Gears of War is good etc....

Sports games have been hit or miss IMO though.

Those are all shooters. While I like shooters, i get bored of them quickly.

IMO, for the most part (there are exceptions) the best 360 games have been the shooters. not much else.

I don't disagree with that. I've been underwhelmed by most of the sports games I've played. The shooters have been fun though.

There has been Battle For Middle Earth 2 and Battle Stations Midway....but they are rts's and while Middle Earth was fun i thought it was short and did not enjoy it online.

I still don't know how people can play RTS games on consoles...the mouse/keyboard combo is essential when managing large numbers of units and coordinating attacks. I tried BFMEII on 360 and HATED it. I'll keep my PC updated in order to maintain my RTS fix.

That being said, if your PC sucks, then definately try BFMEII or hold out for C&C3. The latter is easily one of my most anticipated games early in '07.

Yeah I am waiting until C&C and Halo Wars come out on the 360.....The last I heard C&C was being released on May 8 and my b-day in May 7 so hopefully it will be my little present.

I like how they added 'Psychonauts' not too long ago...especially since I "re-found" the game at the local Air Force BX while on vacation.




HOWEVER, I absolutely HATE how the 360 automatically upconverts the damn game, thus eliminating the native widescreen 480p visuals of the game! I have to stretch the image on my TV and thus feel as though I'm losing something...
