    Anyone buy from llama.com ?

I just purchased a Brand New Samsung DVD Drive on sale $60 plus shipping. Since the Xbox is no longer made and I have a huge Game Collection, I want to protect my system. They seem to have an incredible selection of parts and custom parts as well.

Has anyone had problems with this website? Are they reputable?

ive bought a little heatsink/fan speed increase kit for a few bucks years ago. legit service and nice tutorials on their website.

btw, a new dvdrom install is as simple as plug and play. as long as its the originial motherboard with the same orginial HD, youll be fine installing the new one.

Thanks guys, i've taken an Xbox apart down to the motherboard, they're real easy. I bought my Xbox back in 2004 so I assume it's using the Samsung drive. I bought the DVD drive as insurance since MS has been pretty lame with BC and the Xbox is no longer sold.

you should be fine until the motherboard/harddrive messes up... thats what happened to my 2004 samsung driven XBOX...

i had an older xbox with a phillip drive and a working HD and motherboard. The dvdrom was bad, so i just bought a new xbox years ago... SO I used the old core system and the samsung harddrive to create one new working system.

Just hope you dont get a motherboard/HD error. i assume youd have to replace both and buy a combo kit because they seem to run only in tandum

Re: Anyone buy from llama.com ?

Thanks for the info bro, I think I have Xbox version 1.6 because it came with the Topspin/NCAA 2005 game. It was purchased in late 2004. So I think it has the latest revs.

If not i'll buy what I need from llama.com whether it's a new motherboard or power supply. It's good to know they have pretty much everything to fix your Xbox.
