Graphics aren't bad - sort of like Simpsons Hit and run. They seem to be of the cell-shaded variety. It has a lot of humor too - spray zombies (indicated with a green cloud over their heads) with a fire extinguisher to cure them. You can also put out people who are on fire and running around. From what I played, you eventually can pick up a tire iron to clobber zombies too.
It's very limited though - it's like a maze and you can only go certain places at certain times. Even though you can jump, you can't jump over some obstacles that define the game's boundaries. All in all, it's an interesting idea, that doesn't seem to be my thing - I'd rather have something more open and free-roaming."We were expecting a miracle with Elite, but instead we got Jesus at halfcourt."

I read in that Disaster Report review that the game engine was inadequate for what they wanted to accomplish, and I'd say that this game engine is really lacking too - but it may accomplish what it wanted to do, because the game is so simplistic.
I think in Bad Day LA, each disaster is it's own level, starting with a plane crash into a highway overpass, then earthquakes and tidal waves follow. Sounds good, but I feel like this is only an Xbox Live Arcade style game that is trying to be a fully featured game."We were expecting a miracle with Elite, but instead we got Jesus at halfcourt."
