    Would Like Some Opinions

While I don't give hours upon hours to gaming, I do put in a couple hours maybe 4 nights a week, so I'm kinda picky as to what I play etc.

Recently, I decided to put Condemned on my queue. I played it this weekend and I like the creepyness of it, but something kinda got me thinking about missions and levels in games.

It seems even the best games are level based, or mission based, and I'm kind of getting weary of it. To me, the story line is what I'm after, rather than my shot percentage, number of kills, etc. I was just wondering what you guys think about that. It seems very mechanical when my focus is leveling up or completing the mission. So, I was jsut wondering what you prefer...is it a game more level centered or one with a nice story line. Or, is it both?
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Condemned had one of the best storylines I've played in a game. Not really sure what you mean about leveling up, I don't remember leveling up in Condemned at all.

Sorry, not leveling up isn't in Condemned, but at the end of the first mission, they kept a tally of how many birds I had found. I don't mean to complain about it or be nit-picky, and it's encouraging to know it has a great storyline.

I guess what I'm saying is my interpretation of immersive goes beyond totals and statistics of performance. So, I just wanted to see how everyone else felt.

The birds have a key point to the storyline though. Trust me, play the game through, if that storyline doesn't grip you, don't know what to tell you.

How long does the game take to finish? I might do a weekly rental @ Blockbuster.

One with a good story line, for me.

I get bored of games that offer no motivation to play through pretty quickly, especially ones that just aren't compelling when it comes to creating characters and storylines.
