    No in store warranty for 360

    Today I was going to purchase a 360 from sears until I found out there was no in store warranty available. This is interesting considering the warranty is available for other electronics. I checked their website and found the same thing. So I checked best buys website. Ditto. This makes me weary of getting one since I have read several posts about people having problems. Does anyone know if this is something microsoft has implemented or is it just these stores?

    Best Buy has an in store warranty for the 360, I know many people who have it.

          You can also get it straight from Microsoft, despite where you buy it from. Its $60 for 2 years, and the card for it is in the box.

            my brother took a risk and got one from sams club.

            3 year, 40 dollar warranty. i dont think its in store though.

            I have a question regarding the 90 day MS warranty.. if my system breaks within that time frame, theyll replace it for free? i just ship it out with their box? and once I get the new system, I should call sams club and have them redo the serial number to apply to the new system? correct?


            they seem to go through other companies to get stuff fixed. i recently had my laptop break and they replaced the HD and got it going again for free. but it took 3 weeks

              That's wierd Ruben. I was looking and almost pulled the trigger on a 360 a month and a half ago. I added it to the cart and everything. It asked me for that warranty.. I didn't buy it. But a couple of weeks later and I decided to get it. I added it to the samsclub cart and this time there wasn't any choice for the warranty. Needless to say I got the 425.00 system with extra wireless controller, plug n play, and media remote . Premium system. Good deal to me I had to get it. I love the 360 and glad I made my purchase. I'm happy

                It's not available online, but if you take your receipt to any BB Store within 14 days (might be 30 days not sure) of purchase they'll sell you an extended warranty. You can also take your 360 to any BB and get a full refund within 30 days.

                Most Bricks and Mortar businesses who have a website have this policy, CC is one of them, BB should not be any different as they are competitors.

                  we also tried that deal online. it seems like the more expensive deal, the one WITHOUT the remote for 450 had the warranty for offer. but the least expensive option with more extras didnt.. go figure.

                  i went in store and the 450 dollar deal, with the prem. system, plug in play, and extra wireless controller had the offer for a warranty.

                  It sorta makes sense what there doing, but not really. i guess you could always get one from MS
