    PC video card question

The only games that I play on my PC are MVP 2005 and Madden 2007.

I am currently using an a NVDIA GeForce 6100 (integrated).

The games run "ok" with all the settings maxed out, but when I bump the resolution up to 1280 x 1024 things get a little choppy.

My goal is to get both of my games to run butter smooth, or at least as smooth as they can on a budget.

I really do not want want to spend more than $100. I found these two cards in that price range...

I am not super familiar with PC video cards, would those cards help me accomplish what I want to with my games?

    Re: PC video card question

Either one of those cards will suite your needs perfectly fine. However, you need to make sure that you have a PCI Express X16 slot. If you do not have this, then you need to check and see if your motherboards has an AGP slot. If this is the case, both video cards you have choosen would be out of the question.

I do have a PCI Express X16 slot.

The rest of my specs are...

      AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive

With rest of your specs, you should be fine running Madden. Other more advanced games you may have a problem, but this would run Madden flawlessly.
