Ive thought about doing that and very well might if it keeps up but with any electronic item it is bound to have hiccups at some point so I dont get to worried about it, not to mention the extended warranty gives me that piece of mind in case it gets worse. Out of curiosity, when you say backup my game saves, are you talking about using the Xchange to transport everything over to the CPU's HD? Seems like it would be a real tedious process.

Re: Time to trade in 360?
Guys it could be the cache is moving files all-over the place. PATCHED games also causes freezing, due to corrupting the cache. There is a way to Clear your Cache from the dashboard.
Once you do this you will lose all Game Patches(can retrieve them once you load that game again)You will not lose any downloaded content from the Marketplace(XBL Arcade Games included)
I have done this & seen an improvement in load-times & game performance. Nothing major, but noticable.
Here's what you need to do:
Fire-Up your 360(without a game in the drive) Then go to the Last Blade. Then go into MEMORY. @ the bottom you'll see an option to Select Y for device. Hit Y. After you hit Y, then do this:
Hit x twice, then LB & RB, then hit x twice again. You then should see a message for maintenance. Hit yes & your Cache will be cleared.
I would use this option before re-formatting your HDD. When you re-format, you lose everything on your HDD.
Hope this is helpfulComment

Re: Time to trade in 360?
Well, after 10 months of zero issues, my 360 just died.
No warning, nothing. Using the codes, it's general hardware failure. Off to Gamestop to get another one.Comment

Has anyone who paid for the MS warranty ever gotten anything back from them confirming the warranty? I don't think I ever got anything back from them.XBL: TancComment

Wow, that sucks. I have a launch console and haven't had any problems (knock on wood), but I guess you're never out of the woods.

Re: Time to trade in 360?
Well mine has been great but i'm definately taking advantage of my warranty. There's no way i'm keeping my 360, knowing these things are dying left and right.Comment
