using component cables on non-HD tv

Was wondering if my games on Xbox 360 will come in clearer if I use the red, blue, green cables on my tv. My tv ISNT Hd, but it does have the ports for those cables. If i do use these cables, am I sopposed to switch from TV to HD tv on the xbox 360 cable??? thanks for any info

No don't switch the box to a HD setting. And the picture quality is much better with the red, blue, and green component cables. This will put you in 480p.
What world do you live in?

Only if his TV supports progressive scan (480p). I had a TV that had component inputs, but didn't display 480p, so I would suggest checking. It's still the better video quality to use component cables over s-video, so I would plug it in anyway even if your TV doesn't display 480p.

yeah, it won't be in 480p, but by using component cables, it should make your games look a little better. Especially the colors.
