Get her Super Mario Brothers instead. Especially if she loves Mario.

"Cooking Mama" is the current addiction at our house. That game is a riot.

She already has that one and loves it. That's why I think she would love the new Yoshi (still unwrapped in the TRU bag hidden in my nightstand). I don't know what type of Yoshi this is.

Yoshi's maybe better then SMB as a platformer. The game that was kinda dissapointing to me was elite beat agents.

Geez. Now you want me to second guess that game too?

There are just so many good games on the system. She's finally through with her addiction to Trauma Center I think. She's completed all of the surgeries and just has to do the GUILT ones over again which has her very frustrated (triangle one). She's probably just going to quit and finish Mario. She hasn't even spent that much time with Mario Kart since she's been playing the others. Phoenix Wright is really intriguing but the sequel is supposed to be out January 16th.

I can vouch for Clubhouse games. Great, simple games. Especially fun for multi-player.

What's the deal with Advanced Wars I hear people say good things about it, but I don't know anything about it?

I think I'm going to try to find a used copy of Meteos but I'm sticking with Yoshi and Elite Beat Agents. My sister-in-law is actually going to give my wife Elite Beat Agents and so I might get Phoenix Wright for her after all. My only worry is if its too many games at once. I think both EG and mgoblue loved the first PW. They were right about Trauma Center so I will trust them on Phoenix Wright.

We might sell Trauma Center back on ebay since she has essentially completed it. She is supposed to redo all of the GUILT surgeries over again and the triangle one just pisses her off.

Yeah, Phoenix Wright is amazing.... Highly recommended.

Yoshi's Island is an awesome game, with lots more depth to it then the NSMB. I have them both and I cant put YI down.

Elite Beat Agents just feels hollow to me after a few minutes.

I want to play Phoenix Wright but I can't find it anywhere.

I hope you are right about Yoshi and wrong about the dance game. Others have said they loved it and I hope my wife likes it.

As for Phoenix Wright, they have re-released it twice and its largely sold out but its still availabe on amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/Capcom-USA-320...8&s=videogames

The sequel (Justice for All) is out January 16th. http://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Wright...8&s=videogames

YI has me intrigued now. Might have to see if I can find it on the cheap. I loved SMB.

I can't say enough about Elite Beat Agents. I love it! I guess maybe it's one of those game you either love or just think is so so. Maybe it's like Advance Wars though. I think it's a good game, but nothing spectacular like many comment about.

The game that intrigues me the most is Animal Crossing and now Yoshi's Island.

YI is alot like the metroid games in that you unlock different babies like baby wario or donkey and it allows you to go back and reach different areas which unlock new minigames.

One game I want to try is the DK vs Mario games I read they are puzzle games? Anyone play them?

I had the DK vs Mario for the Advance and got bored with it. If you like puzzles I guess you might like it. Every board you are trying to collect either a key or 5-10 little Mario toys while DK and other baddies are throwing stuff at you. Each board is kind of a maze that you have to go through to make you way to a key, and then like the final stage of each level you have to keep all the Mario toys together while you exit the stage. It's fun to pick and play a level or two at a time, but I get bored with just straight puzzle games like that.

A bit OT, but does anyone have any idea where one can find a DS Lite, either online or in stores? I've check Amazon, CC, Buy.com, Best Buy, EB, Target and Gamespot to no avail.

Are these things in that great of a demand this X-Mas? I wanted to grab one for when I travel as the micro gives me hand cramps. It appears my mitts are too large for that thing
