Taking the 360 plunge!
The title pretty much says it all. I'm at work right now, but i'm going to pick one of these up in about 35 minutes! I've been wanting one of these since they came out, and I just cant hold off any more. This will be my first Xbox, so if anyone has any suggestions or whatever, let me know.

Also, you should definitely get at least XBOX live silver (it's free). Its great being able to dl demos and some of the XBL arcade games are great.XBL: TancComment

Re: Taking the 360 plunge!
Alright, I got it this afternoon instead of this morning so I could get it at best buy. I got the premium package, the recharge thing for the controller, test drive unlimited, saints row, and dead rising. Good times so far!! The only bad thing is, I have to go to work in an hour or so.
I do have one question though. I got the protection plan from best buy so if something happened to my system I wouldnt have to send it away, but should I still get the warranty from MS? Just wanna make sure all of my bases are covered.Comment

Re: Taking the 360 plunge!
I agree with this. Those are all solid games. I'm working my way through Dead Rising now (slowly) and it's a great, great game. I've never played anything like it. There was a good DR thread in this forum that you may want to check out for some pointers; the game is pretty tough.XBL: TancComment

Yeah, that thread is what finally made me break down and get this system. I was going to wait until Gears of War dropped, but so much for that.Comment

Re: Taking the 360 plunge!
I can vouch for the Intercooler. I've been using it since the day it was released and so far my system has been rock solid, and I have a launch system.Comment

Re: Taking the 360 plunge!
Is the intercooler completely necessary?
I will probably only be playing this thing for 2 hours tops in a day.
Also, I saw at CompUSA they have an online special for an Xbox Premium with a $50.00 (US) rebate. And shipping is free.
Since I'm in Canada will the warranty be void or would I simply have to deal with CompUSA if the unit breaks down?
Thanks!
