    Seaman coming to PS2!

    Seaman coming to PS2!

Tiny independent developer Vivarium has at long last updated its Seaman.tv website with mention of Seaman 2. According to the site, the company will be officially announcing the sequel later this week, three days from this story's posting.

Seaman, in case you weren't into the gaming scene a few years back, was a big hit with the Japanese public when it debuted on the Dreamcast. The game ended up becoming the best selling Dreamcast game of all time in Japan. More significantly, the Seaman character became a recognizable icon throughout Japan, even outside of gaming audiences.

Although it was first announced for the PS2 last year, little is known about the long-awaited sequel. Hopefully, we'll get a closer look in just a few days.

As soon as the error message page has been corrected I can post the link. This is good news as I liked this game on the DC.

Now come on SONY and Capcom, bring over Power Stone Collection to the PS2.

Damn did Sega sign a contract or what, first Powerstone to the PSP, Yakuza exclusive to PS2 and now a port of Seaman...WTF..

I still have this game on DC with my microphone and a backup one still in the package incase I damage the 1st one, so I'm cool....

The PS2 should die already, and sony needs some major focus on the PS3 to get it out already....I tossed my PS2 after completiing God of War and Devil May Cry 3 SE.....no sense in having after that....360 owns the t.v until then.

SEGA and SONY have become new friends. I think much has to do with the larger install base of the PS2 that SEGA is still hammering games out on that system. Yakuza cost them 20 Million dollars to make, so I think that releasing it on the PS2 was wise to recoup that money. Yakuza is an excellent game by the way, I picked it up last night.

I wish that Powerstone was on the PS2 also, I love that series.

      Seaman was another great hit.

Yeah Yakuza was one game I was waiting on, but it took too long to come out, plus I've heard nothing but average things about it. Maybe when PS2 gets down to $100 or Less I might buy me another slim-line, until then I don't really miss it.

But being a fan of Shenmue I really wanted to play Yakuza...

P.S. Just to prove to you I have every dreamcast game there. PM me any 3 games you want to see if I have, and I'll take pictures of them with my camera phone and post them in the forum or Email them to you..

Yakuza is awesome and worth the $40 that it's going for this week at CC. I'm only on Chapter 2 and the game is really picking up.

Shadows, bro I believe that you own all the DC games. I don't need any proof, I just like to look at people's collections, it's kind of cool like they did on IGN. People emailed pics of their DC collection to them and they were posted.

I wish Powerstong would come to the PS2 or even the 360 in a Powerstone 3. SEGA needs to make another Nights game.

Ah man, may have to get a ps2 for this. Seaman has come up in a number of threads over the past week on this board and it prompted me to get it out again to encourage my wife to have a go at it. Too bad about the Sony deal it would have been so good on the 360 with the headset. I wonder if Nimoy will be back, he was awesome in the original!
