    360 Problem

My 360 has been having a problem for a few weeks now, no freezing issues or red lights of death but for some reason I can't use my wireless controllers. I'll turn it on and it'll go on initially but within about 30 seconds it just spontaneously shuts off, I was thinking at first it was the battery pack was dead but it was fully charged, so I tried another battery pack and controller to see if it just got a bad connection with that one but all 3 of mine do it.

Then I think I found out what the problem is but I'm not sure what I can do (if anything) in terms of fixing it, around the same time this started happening was when I got a wireless mouse for my computer (360 and computer are about 6 feet away from each other), so I'm thinking the wireless signals are causing some kind of problem in terms of connectivity with it, mouse works fine, but wireless controller won't work unless its hooked into the play and charge kit.

Anyone else had a problem like this or can think of any way this can be corrected? I'd like to keep the wireless mouse if possible but not sure if that'll be possible since I like to be on the computer while playing 360.

    Re: 360 Problem

If your controller works with the play and charge kit then it's not a signal issue. When using the play and charge kit the controller signal is still transmitted wirelessly and not through the wire as if it were a wired controller.

So is my 360 broke then? Like it cant read the controllers for some reason? If so I bought a warranty and I guess I'll try trading it in.

That is 100% correct. The only thing the plug n charge kit does is charge the controller.

Before you do that, have you tried just using AA batteries?

Nah I've just used the rechargable battery packs, I'll give the AA's a try tonight though to be sure.

Just gave that a shot and it actually works, any idea why its doing that? Where I can use AA's but none of my 3 battery packs work?

If you are charging those 3 packs on the same charger, it could be the charger that is broken.

No idea. I bought the rechargeable battery pack but the thing would never stayed charged. So I just decided to go with the AA batteries.
