With the prices of Next Gen Games........

Has anyone decided to go the GameFly route? or any other Video Game rental place. Just wondering if that will save money....

    Thanks

I've been considering it lately to do the 1 a week. This way I only buy the games that I really want and not just buying 360 titles because they look cool.

I have gamefly and I love it. It saves me a ton of money in the long run and I've been able to play pretty much every 360 game. Its great for games that I know I wont play after I finish them like Saints Row

Is Gamefly one of the best services? Do they get New Releases pretty quick...I am just killing myself with buying games for 60 bucks and than 2 months later trading them min for 12 bucks..12 bucks , come on that is ridiculous...

I've had gamefly for over two years. I only buy/bought must-have games. GF saved me hundreds. (that I don't have)

What about Gameznflix? I noticed that Gamefly only has 1 distribution center and may causes longer ship times to the east, which is where I am located. Gameznflix has 8.

Just FYI, I am on the east coast (NC) and have had Gamefly for several months. I have kept Gamefly because I realize that it is still probably saving me money, but the wait-times are abominable (at least in my experience). If I send in a game on a Monday, I usually will not get the next game until the next Thursday or Friday (not 4 days, 12 - 13 days). That has been standard so far. Just so you know.

I used Gameznflix before summer and was satisfied with their service. They shipped fast to NY and cost less than Gamefly. I think its 12.99/month for 2 games, 16.99 for 3. There may be a wait on new releases.

I was going to resume Gameznflix in the fall, but there are too many games coming that I want to buy that'll keep me busy. I'm trying to shop around to avoid paying the full $60. outpost.com (Fry's b&m) has had some pre-orders for $48 shipped. Saints Row is region free so a friend of mine got it from play-asia.com for $43 shipped.

After experienceing terrible shipping times with Gamefly (8-9 days), I went with gameznflicks, and I have to say I have been very pleased thus far. Most titles I order say "short-wait" but I'm getting them 2-3 days after I order them. I am very pleased with their service.

Right now, the only downside to them is their shallow movie selection.

                          Note: I'm also in NC.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

I should mention that most of the 12-13 day turn-around that I spoke of appears to be in them getting my disc and processing that they've received it. In other words, once they actually ship my next game out, it only takes 2 - 3 days for it to get here. But, for some reason, when I put a game in the mail, it takes them about 9-10 days to recieve it, process it, and ship the next one. So it's a total of 12-13 days. They obviously have some very slow processing going on (perhaps only with my returned games, I can't explain why other people in my location get games faster).

Nonetheless, I would switch immediately if I heard about any competitive service that had storehouses on the east coast and decent service. Gameznflicks is the only other one I know about, but it looks a little fishy to me. They always seem to have waits on all their games and the site doesn't seem very polished. And why the heck don't they have TV Shows on DVD?
