    Call of Duty 2 Issue

I know there have been countless threads concerning "freeze-ups" for various games so I apologize in advance. I'm wanting to see if my situation is an isolated case.

During COD2, I had a freeze up toward the end of the campaign. (I don't exactly remember which mission, but I know it was right after the British forces caputure the post office and city hall in the small French town.)

Upon completing the mission mentioned above, the XBOX 360 froze upon loading the next mission. The load progress bar gets 2/3 of the way filled and stops. This happens each time I try to reload and Resume Mission.

I noticed the disc was a bit scratched so I carefully ran it through my Disk Doctor (This is the first 360 disc that I have ever tried this for). Now the 360 only recognizes the disc as being a DVD and brings up a strange menu that I have never seen before. The menu is in several different languages asking me to insert a disk.

I thought I have read many threads where people have used Disk Doctor with no problems.

Please respond if anyone has similar experiences. I fear I may have lost COD2 forever.

BTW all other 360 games work perfectly fine. This is a 360 that has already been reparied by MS three weeks ago. (Not that it still can't be broken).
I know that BigDofBA reported this problem in an earlier thread, but I don't know what his outcome was.

Re: Call of Duty 2 Issue

There were COD2 online problems for a lot of people yesterday. I've used the disc doctor on an original Playstation game (K1 Fighting) and it worked, but I don't know about the newer systems.
