Singleplayer was great in the last SC games.

Oh yeah, people do get upset over the SC vs. MGS debate. The truth is that SC made many developments over MGS.

lol..what is this a coming out party?

If you didn't like the stealthyness of SC's first two, Chaos Theory was for you as they allowed both stealth and aggressive action.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

          To me SC vs MGS...

          I'd choose SC...

Metal Gear has been the same game, rehashed character per sequel...

Seems that Splinter Cell from part 1 going into part 4....has felt like a fresh game each time. New moves, objectives. great story lines...And I like the fact, that they include his personal life, into the story, which ties with his attitude during the game.

And Candyman you right...Single player was amazing in the previous 3...

Can't wait to get Double Agent home and finish the story...

And of course, get on the multiplayer...Chaos Theory multiplayer was incredible...

I like the story better in MGS, and the whole presentation for the most part.

Gameplay wise Splinter Cell completely blows it away though.

MGS has had an interesting story I'll give you that even though it's a bit far fetched. Splinter Cell has improved with every release, but I really think that they need to quit releasing a SC game every year. It's like the Tomb Raider series, it lost it's luster quick due to having a new release almost every year at one point.

I absolutely love the story of Metal Gears. It's so out there, that it's like no other game I've ever played. I'm not saying SC is bad. By it's own right an outstanding game, but I rarely feel anything for any of the characters, unlike MGS.

But for some reason even though they are both espionage/spy games, I don't consider them that. SC is more of a spy game, while MGS is more of an interactive spy movie.

Although I will admit that I replay MGS about 3x as much as I do SC (single player, although if you logged my mutli time in SC it would blow MGS out of the water)

In a nutshell, can someone describe the multiplayer for SC? Is it mainly just stealth? Deathmatch? How many people per team? etc....

                  Thanks!

2 teams, mercs and spies. Mercs have assault rifles, grenades, mines, etc. Spies have more stealthy equipment as opposed to fire power. There's a few different game types if I remember right, but it's basically the spies have an objective they have to complete before time runs out, or the mercs find them and kill them a few times.

That's what the older SC were like. I haven't followed this one at all so I have no idea what's changed.

the DA commercial is nice. Game went from a Gamefly rental to a must buy on Tuesday.
