Which is Better ?? (360 Graphics)

Have seen several threads over the past few days and I'm basically still confused.....LOL

Here's my question, what would give me the best graphics for my 360 games ?

    1) A Sony 51" HDTV (Reaf Projection) set that does 720P and 1080i

    2) A ViewSonic E90F 19" monitor

Of course, I know I'm taking major hit in overall size (I'll sit closer...hehe), but what would give me the best graphics ???

    Any help is much appreciated

I wouldnt consider myself an expert by any means, but since the 360 is made to show games in 720p, I would guess the sony would give you better graphics but I dont know about the monitor your speaking of. This is something i've been wondering lately also as i'm considering getting an HDTV or a nice monitor for gaming.

Personally, I wouldn't touch a rear projection TV. Sure you get size, but in my opinion the picture is lacking. I use a Samsung CRT..lol..go ahead and flame, but for the money, I get an excellent picture that rivals many LCDs.

AND I hear that it lasts longer. I got a 21 inch CRT. Looks FLAWLESS!!

My only problem with the CRT is how I get cutoff on 720p games when the upconvert to 1080i. I need to look into a solution to that (if there is one).

From a TV/Gaming aspect, in my experience, you have to pay a lot of money right now to beat the picture of and HD CRT. Just be sure you have the depth for these TVs because they have "junk in the trunk."

If your TV is an LCD, then you should set your 360 to 720p. If your set is a CRT then set your 360 to 1080i.

if you can afford it, you might want to look into a TV with 1080p, because the next Dashboard update will include this option

My 57" Rear Proj Toshiba looks mighty fine IMO.... With that said id doesn lack the overall "brightness" compaired to my 36" LCD.

I recently bought a 42" Hitachi Plasma....no issues at all with burn in....has a wipe feature on it....the difference between it and my old 56" rear projection panasonic is like night and day...i missed so much detail in the games before I switched.

It would be helpful to know what resolutions that monitor displays. VGA over a high resolution looks better than a component 720/1080i LCD.

I don't have the cash (nor the rationalization) to spend the money on the really good HDTV I'd want, so I'm using the VGA on a 21" flat screen (CRT, but flat glass) Dell monitor, and it's much better than my 32" standard def tv. It took me a little while to get used to gaming on the monitor, but I like the setup now. I can have a baseball game on TV, play a game on the monitor, and using my KVM switch get back to the PC fast (without crawling under my desk).

What are the dimensions for these on my CRT? Mine goes pretty high, higher than I've seen on the internet talked about. Anyone know which ones? I'll try and get on it later on to drop the dimensions.

                          Highest is 2048 x 1536 @ 75 Hz Maximum Resolution

                          I need someone to break down the 480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p......what those would be on a CRT.
