Any must have ps2 games out lately?
I've been busy for awhile and havent been keeping up with any new releases. The last games I got were NCAA and madden. Then I got yakuza the other day. I'm just wondering if any of you guys know of any great games out lately I didn't hear about.Tags: None -

I just thought that I remember hearing over the summer about how solid the ps2 lineup was going to still be, and didn't know what games had come out recently. So it sounds like there's nothing really out now.Comment

Xenosaga III
-all RPG's, great games, and out now (DQVIII should be cheap)
Guitar Hero II (buy the first one if you don't have it) and Final Fantasy XII are the must buys this fall for me.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

Xeno is the only RPG of those 3 I don't own (haven't played the first two Xenosagas, might later - though I have beaten Xenogears). And GHII catapulted onto my must buy list after I bought the original a few weeks ago.
FFXII has been on that list ever since X-2 came out.Comment

I forgot about 'God of War 2' but that's a rental for me, especially after how short the first one was.
I'm sure you've checked out MGS3, and if not, peep the 'Subsistence' edition (lots of added stuff). I'm also going to check out 'Okami', of which the reviews are through the roof. I might just buy it to encourage unique games.
Oh, and in that final vein, rent or buy 'Shadow of the Colussus', another extremely beautiful and non-traditional game.
*EDIT: As for Xenosaga, Episode I is GREAT, II is a bit lacking (tried to tap the "mainstream" RPG audience with that one), and III is more like the first and ties the whole thing together very well. A good trilogy, though I prefer the old-school charm of DQVIII, which most people bail on for being a "predictable" game storyline wise, and nothing more than a "level fest"...which ignores the history of the series.
