As an adult, there's no way I'm camping out overnight for a videogame system.

Back when I was in University, I camped out overnight for a parking pass. And I didn't even get one. I was pretty ticked off when that happened.

I can already picture fights happening due to shortages.

According to GameSpot, only GameStop is getting kisoks, and they will be in right before the Wii launches.

Thanks. Pretty curious marketing move by Nintendo, since the touch-feel experience is so vital to the Wii.

My only guess is that Wii games will look lousy compared to PS3 and 360 kiosks. So Nintendo is afraid that graphical comparison will outweigh the immersion factor of the Wiimote and nunchuk for non-hardcore gamers, the types of people who would be reached by kiosks at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.

yea i mistakingly camped out to get the 360,went to bestbuy at about 11ish (pm) and was like 25th in line and there were only about 30 systems....all i have to say is i regret it now alot,it was cold as hell,misty,you can't really sleep, and you might think that its not that long but it is,and it goes by very very slow.i would suggest not to do it,its def not worth it in my opion.

Like was mentioned in the article, it is not set in stone. We were told nothing is going to happen until we get allocations from Nintendo and Sony.

PK, the Wii is amazing but I only had limited time with it. If you have a Westfield Mall in your area, during the Nov-Dec madhouses, Nintendo is setting up Wii interactives in 25 of the biggest Westfield Malls, and yeas Gamestop/EB are the only stores that will get the demo kiosks.

PS3, ehh not impressed at this point.

i just feel like this console will fail.

a $600 system (probably $1,000 out the door), a pushed-back release, no "must-have" games (for me anyway), no pre-orders, massive shortages.

it's like they are trying to fail. this is like The Producers or something...

Think of all the 360 games (or anything else for that matter) you could buy with the money you'd be spending on the PS3. I want one, but I'm waiting this time. Not to mention, I'm out of Hi-def inputs on my TV.

no, from what I read...places like walmart won't put the kiosks in since they feel that kids flailing around in a store could be dangerous. Kinda shows how people still view the wii.

Ever since that nintendo trailer came out, people think you'll need to jump off a coffee table or do crazy motions. All that's required are tame wrist flicks or motions. Not any more dangerous than moving your thumbs.

Until then, enjoy your Xbox 360's, and its huge October / November Releases...especially Rainbow Six : Vegas, Splinter Cell DA, DOA X2 Volleyball, Gears of War, and all the other titles...They got a huge list....to make sure gaming will be strong in these next few months...through 2007.

I may have camped out 10 hours for the 360... but I'm not doin' THAT again for the PS3... oh hell no.

My buddy did that for the PS2. He paid 10 people to wait in line $50 each. Sold all 10 on Ebay. People were pissed as they dumped PS2 after PS2 in his trunk.

My buddy who's a manager at EB said he went to the recent Gamestop/EB Sony demo of the PS3 and the games. He said he was very dissapointed with the PS3 and all the games he played with.

This backs up what EG's buddy who is also a manager at Gamestop who's a Sony Fanboy was unimpressed by the Sony demo. Games had framerate issues and just looked no better or worse than Xbox360 games.

I think gamespot, like most retailers will be tryin to sell the PS3 and Wii in bundles. And not having a reserve makes it just that easier.
