    360 Question

I just got a premium 360 yesterday and when I first plugged it in the system error came up and I turned it off and turned it back on and it worked then I unplugged it for the night and when I plugged it in again the system error came up again and I turned it off and turned it back on and it worked again. My question is, should the system error come up after I first plug it in or should I exchanged my 360?

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

    Re: 360 Question

Never had that, but if you have a warranty, I'd sit with that 360 for a bit and see if the system error is nothing too serious.

I would go back to the store and get another one to be safe.

What error did u get JM?

When I first setup my 360 I also got an error. I checked the manual and found out I didn't have the AV cable seated correctly in the 360 so it generated an error.

Yeah there are going to be certain errors that come up that you don't need to freak out about. Seems to be a lot of jumping the gun because of the amount of serious 360 errors. I did the same thing. Got the rings and thought I was screwed and needed to take it back. Turned out to be the power plug wasn't seated all the way in the Intercooler. (design flaw in Intercooler IMO)

The first time I plugged it in I think I know why, it might've been because I didn't have the power cord that goes into the system all the way in and I got the three red rings. The second time(this morning) I got the red rings but I don't know why because everything was plugged in correctly. It did work after I turned it off and turned it back on though. And I don't have the warranty yet, I spent all my money on the system and I'm going to buy the warranty next week.

also, if u have the 360 connected to a surge protector, u might wanna take it out and plug it directly into the wall... i've seen reports of surge protectors not giving enough power to 360's and giving them the 3 rings error... i've got it a couple of times.. but that was during a brown out.. keep your power brick off the carpet and make sure it has enough breathing room

if you just bought it, take it back to the store wherver you got it, they should have a 2 week or 30 day policy where you can return the defective product.
