Top 10 360 games by rating according to gamerankings.com. Agree/Disagree

So far the list for the 360 top 10 by rating goes like so:

    1. Oblivion: 94.0%
    2. GRAW: 90.9%
    3. Call of Duty 2: 90.1%
    4. Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved: 89.0%
    5. Burnout Revenge: 88.7%
    6. Project Gotham Racing 3: 88.3%
    7. Dead or Alive 4: 85.9%
    8. Dead Rising: 85.3%
    9. Fight Night Round 3: 85.2%
    10. Need for Speed Most Wanted: 83.3%

Is it just me or do alot of those games seem very average to be included in the top 10? What is your top 10 of 360 games releases so far? Of course we have some massive titles like GOW and SC to come out soon that should (hopefully) land in the top 10 but this is for the games released so far.

I think NCAA Football deserves to be atleast in the top 7.

While I agree that NCAA should be up there in place of crap like 'Fight Night', Burnout (something about generating crashes disturbs me), and NFS...I really don't have that many gripes.

I enjoyed 'Oblivion' while the interest held, and I still play GRAW on a regular basis. COD2 was also really good.

I plunked around 20 or so hours into Oblivion and enjoyed every minute of it... then I just stopped. I might try to get back into it... who knows.

Besides the top 4, the 360 has had very average games.

Um, no 2K7?? And it's quite weird that with all the publicity NCAA got, they're not getting the nod either. Go figure. DISAGREE!!

I've played only 2 of those games. Graw only for one night and FN for a few days.

                  I disagree.

There aren't exactly a lot of 360 games to choose from to begin with, so how could games like NBA 2k7 or NCAA 07 be left out? Hell, I might even throw NHL 07 up there in the mix...

Obviously these are just the average rating for these games based off all of the major sites out there and not a list compiled by gamerankings.

From most of the impressions here 2k7 would be a top 5 game, NCAA would be top 10 and FN, Project gothem and Burnout would be out?

Thats the way I would score it,
#1 and #2 are the way I would have them.
                      #3 would be NBA 2k7
                      #4 would stay Geo Wars.

By, the end of November, you're top 5 games in no particular order will be.

                          1. Gears of War
                          2. GRAW
                          3. Splinter Cell: DA
                          4. Oblivion
                          5. Call of Duty 2

                          Honorable Mention:
                          - Rainbow Six: Vegas
                          - Call of Duty 3
                          - Forza 2

                          Flops:
                          Superman Returns
                          FEAR
                          WWE vs. Raw: Smackdown

                          Just my predictions.

But staying on subject, i've always trusted the ratings on gamerankings.com for games i'm always wondering to buy or not to buy. So that list seems pretty accurate to me from the point of view of the AVERAGE gamer. Obviously, for us sports fanatics our lists would include NBA 2k7, NCAA Football 07, and quite possibly the upcoming Tiger Woods and College Hoops games.

I'm pretty sure if there was an OperationRPG.com then most of the people there wouldn't consider NCAA Football or NBA 2k7 on their tops list.

But these sites that go off of average are always very useful.I also use the ratings on imdb.com to determine that anything above 7.0 out of 10 is a must watch movie for me. Just a hint. :-)

I don't own a 360 yet, and that list is not going to get me to run out and buy one. The top 10 is mostly made up of racing and shooting games. *Yawn*.

                            Where's the variety?

It seems like this list has mostly Launch Window titles. You can argue Dead Rising as a Launch Window title. Hence the reason why you don't see newer games such as NBA 2K7 up there.

I am surprised that Condemned: Criminal Origins isn't on that list. Easily 1 of the BEST 360 titles in still out there.
