both eb and gamestop refused to take my game shrinkrapped w/o a reciept. Best buy did though.

EB, Gamestop, & Target around me you need a receipt.

Now Walmart you don't as long as it's shrink wrapped.

Best Buy wouldn't take it at all without a receipt. Wal-Mart would let me trade it in for another game, but they didn't have Splinter Cell or anything else that looked good and they said no when I tried to get a gift card instead.

I figured they would be able to tell it was on the 3 for 2 deal and not want to give me full price in trading it back in. I noticed the gift receipt had the same code for the two games that rang up full price and a different for the 3rd, so I figured they would be able to tell. Is that not the case?

Regardless, if the game is unopened, and you want to exchange it for another, they should take it.

They pulled that **** on me last year. Said they would give me 33.33 for the game I was returning to get another game. I had my receipt it was the next week. I was taking it back, said I got the wrong game and was getting a game that was coming out that week. I told them, show me where it says I paid 33.33 for the game. They said you bought 2 got 1 free, I said yep, and the one I'm returning on your receipt has 49.99. Took me a manager and a lot of threats but I finally got to exchange it. Since then, all returns go to Walmart..LOL

Were you able to get Wal-Mart to give you anything except a straight trade for another game? The lady at Wal-Mart seemed fine about giving me another game but completely refused a gift card or anything. I guess it doesn't matter since I'm going to make the trade for another game, just wondering if they ever hassle anybody about it.

I bought my 360 bundle from TRU, and took Kameo and NBA Live to Walmart and received store credit. I told them it was a gift, and I already had the games.

The stores near me just suck then. I managed to turn one of the 3 I bought into Marvel Alliance(picking it up tomorrow), another is for a friend and the 3rd I'll be happy with keeping if I can't trade it for Tony Hawk, Gears of War or Rainbow 6: Vegas next month. So I still got what I wanted, I'd just be a little bit more happy if I could turn my unopened Madden into Tony Hawk in a few weeks.

I wish TRU had the good games in stock and got new games on time, then I woudn't be bothered with any of this stuff.

does Wal mart scan the games when you want to exchange them? Cause I read somewhere that they do and the wouldnt let him exchange the game

scanned my 2 games at Walmart and no problem, I just wanted to exchange, but they game me a gift card and some how I gained $.20 of of the return.
