Alright. I've decided to sell my beloved Xbox and replace it with a Nintendo Wii and I could use a little bit of help on eBay. I'm wondering how much I should ask for and how to group all my stuff. Should I sell the Xbox seperately from the games? Should I group all my games together or sell them individually? Should I list the games on half.com or just use eBay?

This is what I have:

Sell the xbox w/ 2 controllers, remote, and DVD remote alone. You can get $100+ for this stuff alone.

I think that Gamestop is doing something now if you trade in 10 games, you get an extra $50.

Or you can package everything together.

EB Games in Canada gave me $100 for my XBox and the $50 trade in deal Candyman is talking about.

I checked their websites and for every 3 games I trade in I get $10 extra. I guess the other deal is just a Canada thing.

bundles get more attention, but they cost more to ship. An xbox with all the stuff you said should probably be bubble wrapped in two seperate boxes if you go through USPS. Throw in that you require delivery confirmation, and it should cost around 25-30 dollars for shipping, however much you want to list on ebay.

I'd say sell it as a bundle and you should be able to get enough to pay for a Wii. You might want to look into trading some of the crap games in for one great xbox game just to help the bundle look better.

1) What should I start the bidding at?
2) Should I set a reserve price?
3) How should I package the bundle? I was thinking of putting the Xbox, cables, paper work, dvd remote, and controller inside the xbox box, wrapping the games in foam inside a seperate box and then putting both boxes inside a bigger box.

Here's what a true eBayer would probably do.

Set a buy it now price relatively low, like 129.99 or something. Then charge about 5 billion bucks for shipping.

So. I listed my bundle this evening around 7:30 and I just logged on and it sold via buy it now for $160. Awesome. I was shooting for somewhere between 125-150. Now I get to ship this bad boy.
