Can anyone explain how to hook your PSP to the internet?

Treat me as a newb who knows nothing at all about doing it.

How can I make my psp connect to the internet.

Remember, I have no clue what Im doing so be very detailed.

It's based on wireless networking... do you have any way of accessing a wireless network? Have a wireless router at home? School? Work?

If you have wireless networking at home turn on your lan switch by sliding it up it's on the left side of the psp. then scroll down to network settings and hit the x button then choose infrastructure mode, then choose new connection,you

can name it whatever. after that you should be at the wlan settings all i did was have it scan for the ssid acess point and it found my router and i followed what else it told me and it's worked since day one

So I click none. It tries to connect and nothing.

What kind of wireless router do you have? Is it a linksys router?

In any case, you may want to check if your SSID is set to broadcast. If not, you may need to type in the name of your SSID manually on your PSP in order to access it (and then input your WEP password, if you have one).

Another possibility is that your router may be set to only allow devices with MAC addresses that you've designated to access the wireless signal. If this is the case, you need to find out your PSP's MAC address (I believe that's available in system info or whatever) and then go to your router's setup and designate your PSP's MAC address as one that is allowed to access the signal.

I've been had it candy. Most of the games suck

I pretty much use it as a portable movie player now and then, but it doesnt get much play time. I dont know what it is, but for such a nice machine, its not that fun.

I also have a DS and GBA so im covered as far as that goes.

I owned this thing twice, I just couldn't get into the games. I liked Lumines and GTA:LCS the most, everything else was just ok when I last owned this thing last December. If this thing every dropped to say $129, then it would be worth owning imo.

It is a very nice handheld, I just feel like Sony went over their heads with this one. I think things will get better in the Fall when you can start downloading PS1 games.

I have a 360 so I might as well keep it for the movie player

only, companies stopped supporting UMD...lol

It trul sucks. They have a new design coming out next year probably q1, but they need to learn from their mistakes

The PSP sucks?? Man.. you haven't dove headfirst into the many homebrew apps available for it, have you?

I've always loved DDR... and the fact that I can have pretty much the entire arcade game in my pocket wherever I go makes it priceless! (To me, anyways! )
