    Trade in Values

Does anyone know what EB or Gamestop would give me for a Gamecube console, controller, and AV cables? I need to get another PS2 since my launch PS2 seems to have died on me. I plan on trading in Madden 07 360, maybe NCAA 07 360, and the Cube for a new or used PS2. I know I can get $24 for Madden and probably, at least, 20 for NCAA. How much for the cube? I originally bought it refurbished from EB, but it's like new. I think I gave 50 or 60 bucks for it when they had a sale on them early last year. They have a promotion to get an extra $20 credit when trading in a console until 11/5/07.

I figure I can get about $80 for the Cube, NCAA, and Madden. Does that sound about right? Anyone work at EB or Gamestop and know for sure. I would sell the games on EBAY or something, but I want a new PS2 ASAP and I just can't justify buying a new one without trading in some of these games that I don't play anymore. I have about 20 or so games sitting here that I never play and never will and I know I can't get anything for them so I don't want to do the same with NCAA and Madden. I just can't get into them, at all, this year.

I really need to play Bully and get back to playing The Show again.

It was $50 just 2 days ago but that promo is now over. Currently it's $45 and today is the deadline I believe.

Yeah, that is was Gamestop is offering for NCAA on the 360. That is highway robbery right there. You're better off keeping it and using it as a coaster.

agree 100%, and on ebay you get cash to use wherever you want instead of being pigeon-holed into using the credit at eb/gamestop. (no offense to any pigeons out there!)

NCAA for current gen is still going for $20-$30+ on eBay. I am officially done with EB trade ins, it is getting more and more out of hand every year.

I got rid of my 360 last week. I got really lucky. For not putting this thing on ebay I did pretty good. I went to this new videogame store where I live called game over. I told them I would like cash not to trade it in. He said over the phone that they would give me 20% less. I took it in and said what the heck. I brought the premium unit, extra controller, media remote, Nhl07 ( That I got for 35 bucks on ebay, and Condemned. Got it used at gamespot. They guy said how good the console looked. He took it and tested. Guy came back and punched the stuff in. He gave me 360.00 cash. He said the reason was they were a brand new store and needed this stuff. They are a mom and pop store. I think it went well considering I didn't have to use ebay.

Sell on eBay. You'll make way more. EB rips off its customers on trade-ins.

                            Definitely the best route.

                              Re: Trade in Values

I think that I am going to just go to Wal-Mart or something and buy another PS2. I may never play it again after the next 2 months, but I can always give it to someone in my family, just to be a nice guy, I guess.

I already did that once last year, I bought a brand new PS2 slim and then didn't play it for a while so I decided to give it to my 10 year old sister for a Christmas gift. The thing was still brand new and I bought her a game and give her a memory card....she broke it in less than 6 weeks. My Pop had to buy her another one, but she was really happy on Christmas. I was better than Santa Claus.

I still had my launch PS2 and it was limping along OK until the other night. It will play some games, but the newer ones are too hard on it or something. It doesn't give me any kind of DRE or anything, it just makes an awful grinding noise on certain games.

I've got 2 nephews and a bunch of cousins who would be proud to have one, so I guess I'll go that route before the end of the week.
