I just got a recorded message from my local Gamestop that reservations for Halo 3 start tomorrow 11/1/06. I will call to verify.

I'm just letting folks know that's all. 3 versions - regular $59.99, collectors $69.99 and legendary $99.99 (comes with a Halo Replica Helmet...LOL). Just $5 bucks down. Release date is 11/1/07. This is crazy taking reservations this early. I am sure this game will be readily available when it releases.

Developers are losing their minds with their "Collector's Editions". Who the freak cares? Most of the time games become ebay auctions or trade bait. I'm aware that there are those that do collect the games but i'm sure those guys are the minority. How about they include the extra content, for free.

The extra content sucks most of the time (though I do enjoy my Kollector's Edition Mortal Kombat: Armageddon since it came with UMK3).

I know people who had Halo 2 preorder for close to 2 years. At least Gamestop is showing some form of responsability in waiting ONLY a year before its expected release date.

Exactly. It's only five bucks guys. Some of you make it seem as they are asking for the whole thing to be paid off. Not to mention this is the most popular series on Xbox and will probably the most popular game on the 360.

this is giving ebgames free money.

damn, people are so dumb. Halo 2 was one of the fastest selling games in recent history, or whater it was. It was easy to walk into a walmart and get one the morning after the lame hyped midnight launch.

There will be no shortages of this game when it comes out, so why waste your money? I'd love to see even unofficial numbers of how much Ebgames/gamestop makes off preorders like this. It's gotta be in the millions.
