FEAR for 360 -- release version vs. demo

Holy crap! The demo level starts out just like the real level in the game BUT THAT'S IT.

IN NO WAY IS THE DEMO LIKE THE RELEASE VERSION. I can't state that any clearer. Both start off with you getting out of a police car. After that, it's like comparing Brazil and Antarctica. The real first level is EXTREMELY engrossing and about 100 times freakier. In no way does it do justice to this game at all. You don't just walk in and start shooting your gun at all. In fact, the whole level design is completely different. Nothing in the demo level actually happens within the story of FEAR... at least not what I've played so far.

Anyway, anyone who liked the demo will LOVE the real version.

I know that good part of the demo is the same as the performance test you run on the PC. Never really got into F.E.A.R. for the PC since my graphics card sucked to high hell, but I'm pretty sure you come across that part of the game at some time.

Because of the awful multiplayer, just waiting for Christmas time to rent this and go through the single player. Too bad they could not get this game going a few months earlier and take advantage of the dead time.

Yeah, I'll be renting this sometime down the road.

Perhaps SOME of it is SOMEWHERE in the real release, but I'm not sure. It starts out the same but then is completely different. Perhaps they changed it on the console only.

Regardless, it's freaky. The release version is MUCH freakier than the demo too... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

From what I'm hearing the multi-player kicks-@$$. The gun play is freaking AWESOME... Yeah it's unfortunate that this title hit shelves right in the middle of GOW & COD3 hitting the streets.

The problem with multi player is no post-game lobby to keep a group together. If multiiplayer is anything like the PC there should be some great fun.

As mentioned, the lobbies don't keep. This equals an awful multiplayer. And because this title will not have microsoft and video game community pressure on it like COD did, I doubt a patch will ever come.

So since there's no REAL-LOBBY, that makes the Multi-Player awful.. I guess to each his own. I actual found the Multi-Player to be very fun. No Frame-rate issues, No V-Sync issues, No Lag. Not to mention this game looks beautiful & sounds like no other 360 game out right now:

Everyone has opinions and I respect yours, but not being able to hold a lobby is a huge deal and momentum/fun killer to me.

Is this the same story as the pc version or a complete overhaul?

I rented and am greatly enjoying the single player. It's freaky and lots of fun. To me, the 360 has been a great system for Single player games, but the multiplayer has left a lot to desire. Ubisoft had the potential in SC and GRAW, but connection problems in GRAW and a system in SC that's geared towards first timers flawed two great multi games IMO. Hopefully, Gears, Rainbow, and COD3 change that.
