    Elite Beat Agents (DS)

Anyone picking this up Tuesday? Just saw it in ads today and looked for info about it.

Looks like a DDR-esque game on the DS that looks like loads of fun. Got a 9.5 on IGN.

    Thoughts?

I have the japanese version, pretty much one of the most insane games I bought. I'm getting this version on release day if possible.

Does it have a licensed soundtrack?

Yes, they are real songs, but done by cover groups. Like Guitar Hero and Karaoke Revolution

I have played both and the Japanese version to me is better. I may not know the story but I like the music.

I purchased Elite Beat Agents along with GOW yesterday as this game has been on my radar for a long time. It's based on the Japanese game, Ouendin. Ouendin has been imported more than any other DS game I can recall.

This game (EBA) is FLAT OUT ADDICTING. I played this more than I played GOW last night. I never thought a rhythm game would be so much fun, or scream one more game. I played this game from 10-11:30 and had to force my self to shut it off. Played again this morning for ten minutes until I realized I'd be late for work.

Now, I've only heard 2 of the 19 songs, but so far they are quite catchy. I'm sure some of them (there's a Jessica Simpson song mixed in) won't be my cup of tea, but it's all really about getting in that zone. You can be kicking a**, and then just lose concentration. Back to the beginning. But, that's alright. Your goal is to nail the songs and get a better score each time.

The comic story lines are pretty cool and often engaging. I'm not a huge comic book fan, but I find them pretty hilarious. Depending on how you do, the scenes change for the better or worse. I like how there's a little lapse between scenes for you to recover and regain that concentration.

Overall, I'd rank this my favorite DS game. Much moreso than Clubhouse Games, and definitely on par with SMB. This is an excellent touch screen game that makes fantastic use of the stylus.

            100% recommended.

              I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

The comic book stories are amusing, and the game gets insane tapping all over the place...like dan said: you can be in the zone one minute, and then something screws it all up and you lose.

              Another recommendation here.
