Haven't touched multiplayer in either, but single player alone, COD3 owns it.

Both are great games. Both are great single player games. Both are great multiplayer games. Take a look at the differences. One is a WWII shooter, while the other is a SciFi shooter. One offers up to 24 online, character classes, and vehicles, while the other only has 3 modes featuring up to 8 players.

I think COD3 is just flat out awesome, I think it well worth it, go guy it it wont disappointing.

I'm loving Gears of War right now. I'll eventually get COD3, probably sometime in December. So I voted for Gears of War.

I went with GOW b/c of there is a story. I'll probably pick up COD3 and R6 in January when my fiancee is in England.
