Here I agree with EA, cause true if you want you can find FREE CHEAT codes from places like gamefaqs.com and ign.com sometimes has them released to the public.

Where I take issue with EA is charging for alternate jerseys and things like that where prior to the Marketplace they were in the game, but in the 360 version they are removed so you have to pay.

I have no problem with selling things that can be gained by simply playing the game. I draw the line at selling things that were previously available for free, and fortunately for us, Microsoft seems to agree that things like alternate jerseys shouldn't cost money if they're free on old-gen.

This company deserves every bit of backlash it takes.

They've gone completely into a bottom line company. They have no shame in displaying that they dont care what you want as a customer. Just show me the money

Agree 100%. EA seems to be creating the most bad-will amongst game publishers with their MTs, and it will and does reflect poorly on the industry/console as a whole. I have a feeling Microsoft and EA are gonna start getting pretty contemptuous towards each other.

my problem with the MS points is that they are charging for things that were FREE last gen..... of course we have a choice not to buy the added content, but it pisses me off that i have to spend a couple dollars on some jerseys in madden where as on the xbox/ps2 version, it's already IN the game for FREE and at a cheaper cost... i hate EA for that

It's already in the game period while with Madden or NCAA we don't even have a option to buy them.

Re: IGN: EA Bites Back at Marketplace Microtransactions

Remember when it was a challenge for MS to get EA on the Xbox and then incorporate their online? EA had to have their own servers etc. We also remember how when the Dreamcast couldn't land EA, it hurt that great system.

Now, I believe tables are turned. I really do. Yes, having Madden is huge, but I believe having the 360 is bigger.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.
