What songs would you like to see in Guitar Hero 3?

To be completely honest, I'd rather see them... perhaps just as an "installment" (rather than GH 3), for RedOctane to go an Alternative/Modern/Classic/Soft Rock route. Very little heavy stuff, and even throw in some of that damn "emo" people are complaining to not want. Guess what? I don't care if people tell me that some of the music that I like is too "emo". If it's not Fall Out Boy, it's not emo.


That said, I've come up with a list of 40 songs that I thought would be cool for me to play (this is my own personal wishlist). Please feel free to nitpick at what's too "emo" for you, because I know that it's coming for me. At any rate, I just want them to do it once, and then leave it alone. Some of these songs can be done very well actually in Guitar Hero playing terms (I can see most of them in my head, actually).

I have the list of tiers, encores, and boss song. Let me know what you think, what I should change around (in terms of difficulty level), or what your list is:

With the loading screen they put in GH2, I'd have a hard time believing Stairway won't be in there (it worked for Freebird, after all)

Any song from Sepultura off of Roots

See, I understand how people say this (in a way). No "emo", or whatever. Well, fortunately, they would only take up THREE of at least forty songs or so. Not to mention, when I chose every song, I did think in my head of ways that they can do all of these on Expert, which would make them challenging and fun... even if you don't like the song (I'm surprised that you don't like Trapt). Just remember, this is my idea of a 'softer', more alternative/modern route of Guitar Hero. There are so many songs that I despise on the first two because they are too punk-ish, but they are a blast to play anyway.

I mean if you (not directly you) have some problem with one of these bands being in the game besides the fact that there are potentially better songs to put in place of theirs, then you guys have your own personal problems.

You're just lucky that I didn't put Simple Plan on here. :wink:

Good, because I don't have any.

Like I said... this doesn't need to be Guitar Hero 3 (so, the last three songs that I have on the list can be in GH3). But they said that at some time they would do different 'genre' installments. Perhaps this even meant Country. Anyway, this is my idea of what one of those installments should be... Alternative, Modern, and Soft Rock (and throw Clapton into the mix).


Believe me when I say that I thought hard on every song, and how they can prosper as great "Expert" songs.

I think they should start coming out with expansion packs. Metal, Acoustic Rock, etc. I think that would be very cool.
